New Immersion Media Website

It’s been a long time since I’ve had something new to add to the blog so I apologize for the recent inactivity. With the (relatively) new job, new house and a baby on the way, my priorities have shifted somewhat lately.

Anyway, one of the larger projects I’ve been working on has been a complete redesign of Immersion Media’s website. It’s finally complete and you can check it out here:

We bought a House!

Here are some pictures of our new house. We don’t close on it until the end of October. We were so anxious to take some pictures of it, we took these without being able to actually go inside. Click on the thumbnails to see larger versions.

My First Photography Show!

Big Gear

My wife, Jen, and I will be showing our work at the Cary location of Carolina Silver through the month of September, then their Raleigh location through the month of October!

We have wanted to have a collaborative show for quite awhile and this just sort of fell into our lap at the last minute. Her work is already hanging in the Cary location while mine will be hung Saturday September 8.

Jen’s work can be seen at www.joyfulartsstudio.com.

Come on by to check it out!

Great News and less than great news…

The Great:

Immersion Media Logo

I am the proud new Graphic Designer for Immersion Media!
Over the past couple of months I have been talking and meeting with people from this multimedia company in Fayetteville and I have finally convinced them that I’m the right man for the job. Hooray me!

The less-than-great:

Busted Car

Last night someone threw a large rock through my car’s window and took off with my subwoofer and Nintendo 64. :( The police have been notified and the window will be replaced tomorrow, but it’s still quite a bummer.

Sunset at Lake Crabtree

While family and friends Judy, Laura, and Nikki were visiting with us last week we had the opportunity to photograph a beautiful sunset at Lake Crabtree, a local park.

Click on the image to the right or check out the “Photography” section for a few more photos from that evening.

Durham Rising Festival

In Durham, where I happen to work, “Durham Rising,” a festival celebrating a revitalization of the city happened at the end of June.

Thinking it would be a great opportunity for me to take some good shots of crowds and busy goings-on, I went down to check it out.

What I found, though, was a lot of really interesting architecture.

I have a new photo set on my flickr page, which can also be viewed from the “Photography” page here on the site.

West Point Mill

Mill Wheel

Over the weekend I went to this old mill in Durham, NC with my wife and a fellow photo buddy. Some of the photos I took there have been gathering quite a bit of interest over at flickr, so I thought I’d share them here.
